"The freethinking of one age is the common sense of the next."
~ Matthew Arnold (1822 - 1888 )
--- okay - I couldn't help it.
Good Earth tea. It's the only thing that will quench my thirst in the heat - iced, of course. I usually get the decaffinated kind. No sweetener is needed, so it's pretty healthy with herbs it contains. Another boost and the reason I mention it in the first place are the quotes. Every bag has a quote on the tab at the end of the string, which makes me look forward even more to brewing it. I think their logo should be, Good Earth Teas. Good for the tummy, good for the mind, good anytime.
This is one of the quotes from todays brew. I thought it to be profound, especially considering my own 13 year olds current rebelious thought process. There were so many thoughts going through my own mind at his age (and years after) at how I'd be so different as an upstanding citizen. And actually what I thought an 'upstanding citizen' really was. I've since changed my mind a bit. However, there are some things that didn't change and that is what the quote says.
Freethinking thoughts and ideas to stay and bloom and those to throw out with the bellbottoms and spam - that is, indeed what makes the world go round, right?
